The Screening Protest Project

The project compares protest narratives on television in different places, periods and genres. The differences help us understand change in two intersecting realms - that of politics under globalization, and that of the rapidly evolving media landscape in which that politics is played out. Based in media studies, the research project integrates political science, visual and cultural studies in its analysis of representation across still and moving images, on television, in film and photography and in digital media.
